Zach Randolph Injury Update…

Heat Clippers BasketballClippers coach Mike Dunleavy said Randolph’s bruised left knee could keep him out of the lineup for one-to-two weeks, or more, the Los Angeles Times reports.

That is not good news for Randolph owners at all. Randolph was a big part of the offense for the Clippers and now that he has gone down along with Chris Kaman, the Clippers will have to rely on Baron Davis and company to keep it together. However, one player who should really benefit from this is Marcus Camby.

Camby has been playing great lately since Kaman was injured and now that Randolph is hurt, his playing time will probably increase a bit. Read the rest of this entry »

Dunleavy Jr. Returning Soon…

dunleavyMike Dunleavy Jr. has been cleared to lengthen his practice minutes from 10 to 20 minutes per practice. The minutes are being broken up in intervals to keep him at a gradual pace. This is a good sign for all of you who kept Dunleavy on your roster hoping for a return to last season form.

He has been practicing full court scrimmages lately and he is reacting well to it. However, Dunleavy has come down with a viral infection that has hit the Pacers pretty hard. He wasn’t ready to come back just yet but this will certainly slow down the process. Read the rest of this entry »

NFL Injury Update Week 15

Brian Westbrook- Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook didn’t practice Saturday, Dec. 13, because the practice was on turf and they didn’t want to take any chances with his knee and ankle.  Westbrook should be able to go in week 15 but there are no guarantees he will be even close to 100%.

Marion Barber III- Dallas RB Marion Barber III was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 12. He is listed as questionable for the Cowboys’ Week 15 game.

Tracy McGrady Looking for 2nd Opinion…

“I’m just not ready to play,” said McGrady. “With the limping and everything, I’m not healthy enough to play anymore. It’s good that I’m going to see the doctor on Monday and get a second opinion, and then we’ll make a decision on the future.” That doctor is the famed (and feared) Dr. James Andrews. Dr. Andrews has been a fantasy player killer for quite some time. It is never a good thing when a player has to go to see Dr. Andrews. Read the rest of this entry »

Rajon Rondo, Fantasy Stud…

Rajon Rondo is becoming a must start fantasy player. His most recent game stats remind us of a young Jason Kidd. 16 points, 13 rebounds, 17 assists, and 3 steals. Not bad for a days work. Granted he isn’t going to put up numbers like that consistently but he has finally broken through the hit or miss phase of a young PG’s career. This year will be a huge year for Rondo. He has no pressure on him since the Celtics won it all last year. Now he can sit back and run his team like a true floor general.

The Celtics are the perfect team for a young PG to come into his own. The options on his team are endless. He doesn’t have the pressure of having to do everything. With Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to distribute the ball to, all he has to do is not telegraph his pass because more often than not, those guys will score. His defense is spectacular which on its own would be reason enough to start him on your team. I have no doubt in my mind that Rondo will end up in the top 5 in PGs this year after all is said and done. I targeted him in most of my leagues and he is paying off huge dividends.

NBA Injury Update Week 6…

Carlos Boozer- Boozer missed his sixth game in a row with a sprained left quadriceps tendon. He has since gotten rid of the cast he had been wearing for a brace. Boozer might play sometime in the upcoming week, but expect the second week of December as a more likely timetable.

Marcus Camby- Camby did not participate in Sunday’s practice instead opting to rested his sore right heel the Los Angeles Times reports. Camby ’s status for Tuesday’s game vs. Dallas is day-to-day. Read the rest of this entry »

Here is a quick refresher. 5 cat league, points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Start 2 guards, 2 forwards, 1 center and 1 utility.
