NFL Injury Update Week 12…

Clinton Portis- In the first half of the team’s Week 12 game, Redskins RB Clinton Portis pulled a muscle near his hip area. He remained the game, but coach Jim Zorn hadd prepared RB Shaun Alexander to finish the second half if Portis hadn’t been able to go.

Reggie Bush- Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) will not play in Week 12 despite practicing all week. Bush sat out the team’s Sunday, Nov. 23, walkthrough, but his knee was still too sore to return to full action and the team doesn’t want to push him back too early, according to some Saints players. Bush is also questionable for week 13.

Brandon Jacobs- Jacobs did not play in the team’s Week 12 game due to a knee injury he suffered in week 11.

Steven Jackson- Steven Jackson did not participate in practice Friday and missed the team’s week 12 game. He will try to practice next week and go from there.

Brian Westbrook- Ankle and knee injuries to RB Brian Westbrook limited him in week 12. Keep an eye on him as he has not been the same RB for the past few weeks

Roddy White- Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (back) was active for the team’s week 12 game and had 4 rec for 70 yards. He looks safe to play for week 13.

Calvin Johnson- Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson had 3 catches for 66 yards and one touchdown in the team’s week 12 game. He is a safe play for week 13.

Tony Romo- Romo went 23-for-39 for 341 yards and three touchdowns against the 49ers in the team’s week 12 game. It looks as though he has put his injury behind him.

Willie Parker- Steelers RB Willie Parker re-injured his knee in the team’s week 12 game after gaining only 37 yards on 14 carries.

Steve Slaton- Slaton rushed for 73 yards on 21 carries in the Texann’s victory over the Browns on Sunday. Ahman Green will be out for a few weeks which would normally be a good thing for Slaton owners. However, Slaton has shown tendencies to break down for a game due to being overworked. keep an eye on him and pick your match-ups wisely.

LenDale White- White was active for the team’s week 12 game against the Jets, but was not a factor. He rushed for -1 yards on 1 carry.

Matt Schaub- Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (knee) started throwing again Wednesday, Nov. 19. He could miss four more games.

Kevin Smith- Smith sustained a shoulder injury in the early part of the game but came back fairly quick. He had 86 yards on 16 carries.

Laveranues Coles- Coles was active for the team’s week 12 game against the Titans and came up big. He had 7 rec for 88 yards and 1 TD.

Warrick Dunn- Dunn was active for the team’s week 12 game and had a huge day. He had 14 carries for 90 yards and 1 TD and he also threw in 5 rec for 37 yards just for good measure.

Jason Witten- Witten was active for the team’s week 12 game. but didn’t do much. He had 1 catch for 11 yards.

Kellen Winslow- Winslow wass active for Sunday’s game against Houston but was terrible once again with 1 catch for 11 yards. He is very frustrating to his owners and will be hit or miss all season long unless Brady Quinn can figure out a way to get him the ball.

Jerricho Cotchery- Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery was active for the team’s Week 12 game and had 6 rec for 55 yards.

Plaxico Burress- Giants WR Plaxico Burress left the Giant’s Week 12 game in the first quarter after he aggravated his hamstring.

Felix Jones- The Cowboys have put Jones on injured reserve because of a torn ligament under his left big toe, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Derrick Mason- Mason was active for the team’s game against the Eagles in week 12 but didn’t do much. He still remains a solid WR2-3 just because of the amount of targets he receives each game.

Donald Driver- Driver is probable for Monday night’s game against the Saints with a knee injury.

Mark Bradley- Chiefs WR Mark Bradley had 2 rec for 52 yards and 1 TD in the team’s terrible week 12 loss to the Bills.

Darren McFadden- McFadden was active for the team’s week 12 game against the Broncos and showed why he was taken in the first round of the draft. He had 2 TD.

Marques Colston- Saints WR Marques Colston is listed as probable on the team’s official injury report.

Deuce McAllister- Saints RB Deuce McAllister, is expected to go against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night after having fluid drained from his left knee on Wednesday.

Greg Camarillo- Camarillo is out for the season with a knee injury he suffered in the second half Sunday against the New England Patriots and did not return.

Peyton Hillis- RB Peyton Hillis didn’t start at tailback for the Broncos but got most of the carries. Tatum Bell started at tailback and Hillis at fullback in a two-back set, but most of the game Hillis ran out of a one-back set. Hillis had 74 yards on 17 carries, Yahoo Sports reports.
