Here is a quick refresher. 5 cat league, points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Start 2 guards, 2 forwards, 1 center and 1 utility.
Week 4 turned out to be a bounce back week for me in my H2H league. I wound up winning the week 4-1. I started Jason Kidd, Joe Johnson, Amare Stoudemire, Andrei Kirilenko, Marcus Camby, and Rajon Rondo. My opponent went with Chris Paul, Tracy McGrady, Chris Bosh, Tim Duncan, Samuel Dalembert and John Salmons. My magic fantasy stat predictor (which should be available to everyone soon) told me that that I would have no chance in points at all, rebounds and assists would be toss ups, I would win steals in lopsided fashion and blocks shouldn’t be a problem for me either. Well, it was right. I lost points by 60, won rebounds by 1, won assists by 23 (thanks to Kirilenko going nuts), won steals by 10 and won blocks by 11. Now I am currently sitting in second place at 14-6.
Now for week 5. I started Jason Kidd, Corey Maggette, Andrei Kirilenko, Amare Stoudemire, Marcus Camby and Zydrunas Ilgauskas. My opponent started Danny Granger, Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, Shawn Marion, Greg Oden and Chauncy Billups. This week is going to be a lot closer than any other week. My stat program predicts me winning 4-1 with no chance in points, a great chance in rebounds but leaving steals assists and blocks up in the air. I’m not very comfortable with blocks because of the recent trade of Zach Randolph to the Clippers. This will significantly cut into Camby’s playing time. I’m counting on this motivating Camby as it has the past few games and keeps him blocking shots and rebounding. Steals and assists are a strong point with my team so I’m confident I will at least stand a chance in those categories. It will be interesting to see how Maggette reacts to the move to PF for the Warriors. It should help his rebounding and steals. I’ll keep you posted on how things turn out.
